About Us

Circle of Soup is a community-driven project that inspires people to eat more plants, rely less on processed foods, and gain confidence in the kitchen. Through hands-on cooking workshops in community centres, health hubs, and food banks, we show that you don’t need to be a chef - or even follow a recipe - to create delicious and nourishing meals. Our approach focuses on using simple, affordable ingredients to make balanced, plant-based dishes while encouraging a flexible, intuitive way of cooking. By sharing skills, knowledge, and good food, we aim to empower individuals to take control of their health and enjoy the process of cooking without fear or limitations.

Our Mission

There is a growing consensus that our standard western diet filled with Ultra Processed Food (UPF) is having a detrimental impact on our physical and mental health, and putting an unsustainable burden on health services.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that real whole food has enormous health benefits, but cooking skills have declined over the past 30 years for complex reasons. We think that one of the biggest barriers to making simple wholesome food is that people have been led to believe that cooking is about following a recipe using specific ingredients..

Confident cooks cook with ingredients first, not recipes.  We show how easy this can be whilst helping people to understand the huge health benefits of eating a plant-rich diet.
