Our Resources

Open-source materials

We have found working with partner organisations in their communities is the most effective way for us to run our workshops. We also want to help as many people as possible discover the joy of simply cooking and eating healthy food together, so we are developing our ‘train the trainer model’ and have honed our learning materials so that we can share them to support others to facilitate healthy cooking workshops in their communities too.

Central to the five-session course, which travels the world through food, is our series of ‘flavour maps’ which replace traditional recipes and walk participants through the process of making either a soup, stew or salad using their senses to collaboratively guide them. We keep our ‘fact sheets’ about how plants impact overall health simple because we know that good health information shouldn’t be rocket science. We also provide ‘Pantry lists’ and other materials to form a complete package for participants to take away and get cooking.

Please contact us if you would like to know more about how we can help you integrate our materials into your healthy eating workshops.

Accessibility and diversity is baked into our approach.

  • Ingredients - plant rich & available on every high street/supermarket. Good for you, your wallet and the planet

  • Price point - our cooking ingredients & equipment are inexpensive and uncomplicated; if there isn’t a kitchen we can cook with energy efficient multi-cookers or electric hobs

  • No recipe principle - because we teach through ingredients first everyone discovers they can cook and there is no right or wrong

  • Learning - the information we share about food and health, while straightforward and mumbo-jumbo free is based on solid scientific research. Participants learn experientially why preparing & sharing nutritious food which makes you feel great
